article marketingInternet marketing is still very much in its early development and people will always be finding new and improved ways to drive traffic to their website. One way that has been used for quite some time, however, and will continue to be used for quite some time into the future is article marketing. This is a great way to be able to drive relevant, targeted traffic to your website within a short period of time. It can also give you long-term traffic that will continue to come into your website for months or even years after the initial work is done.

Although article marketing has been done for quite some time, it has recently come into the spotlight because of a marketing method that was termed ‘bum marketing’. The concepts behind this particular marketing method are very sound but they are anything from being something new.

It basically has to do with writing articles that are surrounding specific keyword phrases that are relevant to your website but are relatively easy to rank well for in the search engines. By writing an article and using these keyword phrases, often referred to as long tail keyword phrases, you will be driving almost instant traffic to your website. How so?

The reason why it’s easy for you to get traffic to these particular articles is because you’ll be riding on the backbone of an article website’s success. One of the most popular of these article websites is ezinearticles.com. They have a lot of favor in the eyes of Google at this particular time and if you post one of your articles on their website with a low competition keyword you should rank well for that keyword within a short period of time.

Of course, there is another part of the equation when it comes to article marketing that you will need to take into consideration.

It doesn’t matter how good of an article you write or how well you’re established in the search engines for that particular article, unless people follow through to your website it really does you no good at all.

This comes in the form of your bio box or resource box - a short blurb about yourself and your website which you’re permitted to post at the end of your article.

By writing an effective resource box, you’ll help to pull your readers onto your webpage. From that point, you’ll be able to direct them in any direction you want them to go.

I’ll be releasing a book on article marketing entitled Article Marketing Strategies which will discuss step by step on how to write articles and how to market them to bring you targeted traffic.

This ebook is will be a gift for people who sign up to my newsletter. It will be released this friday April 18th. Stay tuned!

    Martin,

Glad you liked the ebook and hope you’re getting great results from the techniques.

I like the Revolution Theme but still need a few tweaks. I’ll get round to it someday when I have time.

    Nice website you got there.
